If the half marathon, 5K, 8K, or 15K isn’t for you, there’s a 4-mile walking-only course along the waterfront. Have kids? There’s a 1K dash for them as well. Afterwards, check out the fitness fair and/or celebrate with a […]

Best Fondue Restaurants in Portland

February 26, 2017 By Carrie Uffindell Leave a Comment

Ever since I first dipped my first chunk of crusty bread into a warm ceramic pot filled with gooey Emmentaler and Gruyére cheeses, I’ve been a goner for this classic alpine dish, which originated in the mountains of Switzerland centuries ago. Today, fondue can encompass any melted cheese, desert, broth or oil dish that’s served […]

T2 Game at Merlo Field, photo by Carrie Uffindell

For me and my family, watching the Timbers 2 (T2) team play at least once during summer is an absolute must. We love that their games are laid-back, intimate, a little rowdy and filled with nostalgic good fun. Nostalgia, because T2 is Portland’s United Soccer League (USL) – aka the minors – and their games […]
